Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies to the Bible Lens app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices and the related web experience that were created by Bible Lens (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Freemium service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".

Information Collection and Use

The Application collects information when you download and use it. This information may include:

• Your device's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address)
• The pages and screens of the Application that you visit, the time and date of your visit, and the time spent on those screens
• The operating system you use on your mobile device
• Your name and email address (collected during account registration via Apple Sign-In, Google Sign-In, or email one-time passcode)
• Text content of the questions you submit to the AI assistant and the answers it returns
• Verses you save to your collection ("favorites"), including reference, version, and the verse text at the time of saving
• Profile preferences such as denomination, age range, and preferred Bible version

The Application does not record audio from your device, does not access your camera, microphone, contacts, photos, or location, and does not gather precise information about the location of your mobile device.

The Service Provider may use the information you provided to contact you from time to time to provide you with important information, required notices, and service-related announcements.

Subscription and Payment Information

When you subscribe to our premium services, the following additional information may be collected and processed:

• Transaction data: Subscription type, purchase date, renewal date, and transaction identifiers — processed by Apple through the App Store
• Subscription status: Whether your account has an active subscription or has expired — used to provide access to premium features and to enforce the daily free-tier quota

We do not collect or store your payment card details, billing address, or other financial information. All payment processing is handled by Apple through the App Store.

AI Features and Data Processing

Bible Lens provides an AI assistant that answers questions about Scripture. To deliver this feature, your text inputs are transmitted to our backend servers (api.biblelensai.com), which in turn process your data using the following third-party AI service provider:

• OpenAI — Used to generate AI assistant responses to your questions. OpenAI Privacy Policy

The data transmitted to OpenAI consists solely of the text of your question and the conversation context required to generate a response. Your name, email address, payment information, device identifier, and other personally identifiable information are not shared with OpenAI.

OpenAI is bound by data processing terms that prohibit it from using API-submitted content to train or improve its models.

Because OpenAI's infrastructure may be located outside your country of residence, your question text may be transferred internationally. Such transfers are conducted under appropriate contractual safeguards in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

Third-Party Services and SDKs

The Application uses the following third-party services that may collect data:

• Apple Sign-In — Authentication. Apple Privacy Policy
• Google Sign-In — Authentication. Google Privacy Policy
• Apple StoreKit — In-app purchase and subscription management, processed under Apple's privacy terms
• Aliyun Cloud (Alibaba Cloud) — Hosting of our backend servers, databases, and content delivery network. Your account data, conversations, and saved verses are stored on Aliyun infrastructure. Alibaba Cloud Privacy Policy

Third Party Access

Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to aid the Service Provider in improving the Application and their service. The Service Provider may share your information with third parties in the ways that are described in this privacy statement.

The Service Provider may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:

• As required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process
• When they believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect their rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request
• With their trusted service providers who work on their behalf, do not have an independent use of the information disclosed to them, and have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this privacy statement

Opt-Out Rights

You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling it. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network. You may also delete your account from within the Application at any time via Settings → Account → Delete account, which removes your profile, conversations, and saved verses.

Data Retention Policy

The Service Provider will retain User Provided data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter. If you'd like them to delete User Provided Data that you have provided via the Application, please contact them at support@biblelensai.com and they will respond in a reasonable time. You may also delete your account at any time from within the Application as described above.

Children

The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. The Service Provider encourages parents and legal guardians to monitor their children's Internet usage and to help enforce this Policy by instructing their children never to provide personally identifiable information through the Application and/or Services without their permission. If you have reason to believe that a child has provided personally identifiable information to the Service Provider, please contact them at support@biblelensai.com so that they can take the necessary actions.

Your Data Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate personal data
• Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data
• Portability: Request a machine-readable copy of your data
• Opt-out: Opt out of marketing communications at any time

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA) or California, additional rights may apply under GDPR or CCPA respectively. We will process your request in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

Security

The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. The Service Provider provides physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect the information they process and maintain.

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes to the Privacy Policy by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.

This privacy policy is effective as of 2026-04-29.

By using the Application, you are consenting to the processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us.
